Oscar Ferdinand Buschinger is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist (clarinet, guitar, voice, piano, cello) based in Normandy with strong connections to the Berlin music scene. His creations take us on a journey across the Atlantic, from New Orleans jazz to Brazilian samba, via rumba and mambo. Supported by the Rouen-based label Normania and independent manager Nicolas Lemercier, the project has already won over several European stages with great success (see agenda). Oscar and his band perform in three languages (English, French, Portuguese) and deliver an energetic show that highlights each instrument’s improvisational talents.
On Stage
Oscar gives concerts in different countries in Europe (France, Germany, Spain, Portugal) and loves to be surrounded by talented musicians and hard working people of the music industry. (See the page “Live Full Band” for more details).

Debut Album
Oscar Ferdinand crafts a warm universe blending tropical jazz, improvisation, and rich harmonies. Oscar has already released 4 singles and his debut album BERLIN (out January 10, 2026) explores an acoustic, travel-inspired aesthetic. Recorded in Normandy, the album blends elements of jazz and Latin music, following in the footsteps of artists such as Louis Prima, Calypso Rose, Zaz, and Thomas Dutronc. Other Projects
Oscar Ferdinand has also been playing in the well-known Berlin samba brass band « A Panda Do Sol » as a clarinetist, cellist and singer since 2015. The band already has 2 albums and is preparing the third, the band did several times sold-out gigs in the typical Berlin concert halls such as Badehaus, Klunkerkranich or Tempelhof castle (see Instagram for details), and is regularly on tour in Germany, France, Spain and Portugal.

Oscar has also done several projects in the field of film music and theater. Since 2015 he has composed and produced the music for several short films by the French director « Théophile Boutin ». He won the Price of the best film Music for the film “Court Toujours” by Théophile Boutin. (See the page “Film Music for more details).
He was also part, as a composer and performer, of the modern dance project « FREMD-ARTIG » by director Rebekka Böhme in 2022. He was also employed as a multi-instrumentalist in the Silent Film Festival 2023 at the Babylon Berlin cinema. (See the page “Theatre Music” for more details)
